Terms of service
1. The service provider
Services are provided by Merchants Century Limited (招商世紀有限公司), a Money Service Operator licensed by the Commissioner of Customs and Excise, Hong Kong SAR. We provide remittance and money-changing services only.
2. Eligibility and onboarding
Business customers must complete customer due diligence before any transaction is executed. We may decline to onboard, or decline or delay any transaction, where we are unable to complete due diligence or where required by law.
3. Instructions
A transaction is accepted when we confirm the rate, amount and beneficiary details in writing. Instructions are irrevocable once funds have been released to the correspondent. The customer is responsible for the accuracy of beneficiary details.
4. Rates and fees
Exchange rates quoted on this website or by our staff are indicative until confirmed. The confirmed rate and any fees are stated before the customer commits funds. Intermediary or beneficiary bank charges outside our control may be deducted from the amount received.
5. Settlement times
Settlement times are estimates based on corridor and correspondent cut-off times and are not guaranteed. Delays may arise from compliance review, public holidays or actions of intermediary banks.
6. Compliance
Customers agree to provide information and documents reasonably requested for AML/CFT purposes, and acknowledge that we may report transactions to the authorities without notice where required by law.
7. Liability
Our liability for any transaction is limited to the amount of that transaction and any fee charged by us. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by inaccurate instructions, intermediary banks or events beyond our reasonable control.
8. Website
Content on this website is for general information and does not constitute financial advice. We may change the website or these terms at any time; the version published here applies.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the courts of Hong Kong have exclusive jurisdiction.
